This tour provides some rich content to accent what kids/adults may or may not already know about a working apple orchard. This guided walking tour takes the group out in the orchard to discuss: the four seasons, pollination, friend/enemies in nature, harvesting and what becomes of the apples we grow. We’ll take a first hand look at some of the tools we use to harvest the apples. A stop at the “apple bedroom” (the cooler where the apples are stored), the cider room and the observational beehive are all included in this tour.
Tour includes:
- An apple out of a bin
- A cup of cider
- A cookie
- A coloring book or pencil depending on the age group
Cost: $5 per (Teachers are free—but are not provided with cider/apple/cookie/souvenir)
Estimated time: 45 minutes
